Description
This classic Bordeaux blend comes from the most prestigious single vineyard in the Villány region. Winemaker Attila Gere was one of the first to revitalize this southern region in the early 1990s, and the family has played a big role in its development over the decades since then. This wine has all of the attributes of a great Bordeaux, with a huge ageing potential—due both to the vintage and to the terroir of the Kopár hill. It is dense and purple-colored, with classic notes of graphite and tobacco along with melted licorice, creme de cassis, smoke, and flowers. It has extraordinary richness, power, purity, intensity, and viscosity. We can call this wine the “Chateau Lafite of Hungary”
